Work in progress . . .

I'm working on this painting right now. Hopefully it won't be much longer before I finish, but one cannot predict what interruptions one may encounter. Thank you for stopping by and checking things out!

Thank you much J. hopefully I'll have it finished soon, however it looks like I may be starting a cover tomorrow for Reform Jusiasm magazine . . . if so, Marco will have to be put on hold again.

Thank you Kei, I am truly flattered that you like my stuff, take care!

This is looking too good! Real nice handling of this limited palette. I like the way it appears right now, with him coming out of the misty background, blending in more with depth. How many hours has this been so far do you think?

Thank you Marco, it will sort of have that coming out of the mist feel when it's finished, hopefully anyways, that was the plan. I'm not sure how many hours, I've worked on it on and off now for a few weeks, maybe a couple hours a day . . . I painted the face in two hours, it's the rest of it that seems to be taking long, like the folds.

coming along very nicely, sleepless one...

what dishes out comes along...though maybe near 27 years later!!! hahaha..

now you understand when I said it was tough, my sleepless nights in my garage studio. I am sympathetic though...just want to encourage you! Keep on keeping on...things get better. You might have an amazing gifted artist under your wing one day, and how satisfying that turns out to be!!! ;^)

Thank you Roberto and Bobby. I'm not sure on the size exactly, I'll let you all know tomorrow. I'm working on a cover right now for Reform Judiasm, so my Marco painting will be on hold for a bit, although I will try to work on it inbetween waiting for confirmation from the art directors.

Thanks Dad, yeah, it's not an easy time, but I know it'll get better. I think Isabeau's already taking after me a bit artistically, for three, she's quite impressive, it's fun to see.

I'm really impressed by your skills! There are not many caricaturists who can keep the likeness, render well, and give the entire image a nice sense of design and balance at the same time. I wish I could do as well myself!
