Update on my Donald Trump painting.

These days I'm working on the final paintings and whatnot for my book and came to the page with my Donald Trump and realized that I wanted to re-paint the face and hair . . . . the top Trump is the "new" version of the painting!
I painted my first version a little over two years ago, I like this new version much better! I never really felt settled with the first one, at first I was going for a more painterly look, so I kept the hair loose as well as the face. I spent for ever on that chair . . . . realizing later on that if the chair is going to be that detailed then his face must be as well.

Looks great! The subtle color variations in the hair does make a difference from the one before. I'm glad you worked on this more...

the new one definitely makes the transparency of that thing he calls hair more apparent.

First, great painting. Sometimes you have to gamble and hope for better results on the revision(s). This one paid off certainly and the hair was a good call. This is sure to be a fine addition for the book Jason.

Jason-
I can't believe that the class is over, there is so much more you could teach! The chair in the trump painting always held my interest. I would love to know how you got that texture, and overall I think that this is all the painting you would really need to show to prove your at the top of the game.
