Big Sam Sketch # 2

Well, I couldn't resist! I had a hard time deciding which pic to sketch from because both pics were great! One was funny (my first sketch), and the other had a "I'm hip and super fly" look to it. So this morning I did another quick sketch, this one taking me about an hour. I've never met Sam, so I'm not sure what he "really" looks like, and like I said, both pictures were great to sketch from, but they almost looked like two different people. Anyways, Thanks Sam for the fun "Sketch Time".

A reminder that my next course on Caricature starts on October 9th! For any questions or information, check out Schoolism.com

HAHAHA.
Thats really cool to see two completely takes on the same person. Its so interesting that they are recognizably the same guy, but yet are so differently distorted.

Each is great, but seeing them together really gets my knowledge bump whizin!

I followed the links and went to Sam's site.

How did Sam become such a popular guy to draw?

And I'm with Sam on the motivation factor. I go and check out most of you guys commenting here, and a few others every day before I draw/paint.

Right when I start to feel satisfied, I take a look at Jason's work and think "Oh, I'm not done."

Scratch my last question.

I scrolled down farther this time.

I'm up for that, but I can't outdo Jason.

Dude!!! Ha! Sam is a good friend of mine and an ex co-worker. I used to work with him at Universal Studios in Hollywood. He is a badass artist and has one great face to draw. Both of the Sam sketches are hilarious, but this one definitely nails him. Good stuff Jason!
