Lack of posts?

. . . sorry for the lack of posts lately. I've been really, really busy, painting a lot of paintings, private commissions, paintings for upcoming shows, for magazines and so on. I will be able to share some of what I have been working on very soon.

Also, been going through quite a bit lately, not so great of a holiday season I'm afraid. My Uncle David passed away early Monday morning. He was more like an older brother to me than an Uncle. He always supported my art and made a point to encourage and push me. I don't want to get into too much here, but I am deeply saddened by his passing, he was way too young, and too important to me.

I will never forget . . .

I'm posting my painting of Saddam in honor of David. He loved this painting and went on and on to me about it, it struck a cord within him, and now it has become more important to me. It's no longer "just a painting".

I will miss you David.

So sorry to hear about the passing of your dear uncle. This season has proved to be quite sad for many people - it seems many families have lost loved one. I am so glad that he was part of your life and by the way - he was right about the portrait of Saddam.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. :/ Whishing you the best for the Christmas Holiday and hope it'll be good for you and your family.

I lost a very clos aunt right before Christmas 12 years ago, and even if the first christmas without her was very sad and hard, there are good memories now and I'm glad to feel her extra close in the Christmas holidays.

Good heavens, I'm so sorry hear about your loss. My heart goes out to you in the sincerest of condolences.

Over the years I've learned that we never really get over the death of a loved one, but rather we learn to function without them as though we lost part of ourselves -- like missing a limb. And, that's where time comes in. In time we learn to live with the pain of the loss, only to discover that our loved ones have never really left us, but rather live in the sweetened nectar of our cherished memories.

May God watch over your Uncle David.
